Fengling Renewables Achieves Breakthrough in Green Energy Cooperation During Middle East Visit with Hong Kong Delegation

    May 14, 2025 — Marking the 10th anniversary of the Belt and Road Initiative, Fengling Renewables, a leading representative of China’s renewable energy sector, successfully concluded a visit to Qatar and Kuwait as part of a business delegation led by Hong Kong SAR Chief Executive John Lee. The joint delegation of enterprises from Hong Kong and mainland China aimed to strengthen commercial ties and green energy collaboration with the Middle East.


    During the visit, Fengling Renewables reached strategic cooperation intentions with local stakeholders and signed memoranda of understanding (MoUs), injecting new momentum into multilateral clean energy cooperation between China and the Middle East.

    Expanding Green Opportunities and Deepening Strategic Trust


    From May 10 to 14, Mr. Sun Yu, Chairman of Fengling Renewables, visited Doha, Lusail, and Kuwait City with the delegation. Throughout the trip, the company engaged in intensive exchanges with key government institutions and business leaders, including the Qatari Businessmen Association (QBA), Qatar Financial Centre (QFC), and Kuwait Investment Authority (KIA).


    Focusing on green electricity investment and sustainable finance innovation, Fengling Renewables reached preliminary cooperation consensus with sovereign wealth funds in both Qatar and Kuwait, signing MoUs that lay the groundwork for future strategic partnerships.

    Leveraging Hong Kong's Role to Build a Global RWA Collaboration Framework


    The visit also enabled Fengling Renewables to establish direct ties with regulatory authorities in Hong Kong. Chairman Sun Yu noted that the company is deeply rooted in clean energy and committed to advancing green financial innovation. Moving forward, Fengling Renewables will actively leverage Hong Kong’s position as a bridge in the international green finance system to integrate these partnerships into a global Real-World Asset (RWA) collaboration framework.


    With mutual trust already established through productive exchanges with sovereign wealth funds in Qatar and Kuwait, Fengling Renewables will continue to pursue strategic cooperation with Middle Eastern partners to promote high-quality circulation and multilateral participation of green assets.
